How to add production lines and sections?
Efficient production management is crucial for the smooth operation of your factory, and Garment IO provides a comprehensive solution by enabling you to add production lines and organize them into sections. In this chapter, we will guide you through the process of adding production lines and sections to enhance your factory's workflow.
Accessing Production Lines:
To begin adding production lines, follow these steps:
- Go to the Production Lines page by navigating to Settings > Company Settings > Production Lines.
Adding a Production Line:
To add a new production line, follow these instructions:
- Click on the "+" button located on the page.
- Enter the name of the production line you wish to add.
Adding Sections to a Production Line:
To further organize your production line, you can create sections within each line. Here's how:
- Select the desired production line.
- Locate the "+" icon in the Settings column and click on it.
- Enter the name of the section you want to create.
- Click on "Add" to save the section.
- Repeat these steps to add all the required sections within the chosen production line.
Please note that the order of production lines and sections displayed on the Production Lines page will also be reflected on other relevant pages throughout the system.
The Production Lines page provides valuable information to help you monitor your production process, including:
- Production line name: Clearly identifies each production line.
- Sections within each production line: Shows the sections assigned to each line.
- Number of machines in each production line: Tracks the machine count for each line.
- Number of machines in each section: Provides an overview of machines within each section.
To further enhance organization and search capabilities, you have the option to assign tags to each section. Here's how:
- Go to Company Configurations > Section Tags.
- Add new sections and choose a color for visual identification.
- Once added, you can select the appropriate tag for each section on the Production Lines page.
By adding production lines and sections, you can effectively organize and manage your factory's production process. This will lead to smoother operations, efficient monitoring, and improved productivity. The ability to categorize sections and track machine allocation within each production line enhances your factory's workflow, making it easier to manage and optimize production activities.
