Supervise production sections

Supervise production sections

After the production order has been planned and is ready for production, supervisors play a vital role in overseeing the order within their assigned section. To facilitate this process, we have developed a Supervisor App specifically designed for supervisors, providing them access to five pages:

Machines Page:

Supervisors can select a section and filter machines by type and connectivity. This page displays a list of machines along with the employees currently logged in to each machine. It also shows the orders and processes on which each employee is working. Additionally, information regarding inline defects is available next to each machine, indicating if inline inspections have occurred for a particular worker. The user can change the assigned orders and processes for a machine and even transfer a machine to another section if needed.

Processes Page:

This page presents a list of processes within the selected section. To view the processes of a specific order, the user must first filter by that order. The page provides information on the percentage of completion for each process within the order and whether the entire order has been finished for a particular process. Furthermore, it displays the work-in-progress (WIP) quantities and productivity in the last hour. The names of employees who have worked on a given process are also shown. Clicking on a process opens a modal that displays the produced/required pieces and their respective percentages. Additionally, a table with all workers who have worked on that process today and their hourly throughput is provided. A link to the process throughput report is available as well, allowing users to view information for other production orders under the same style, with the ability to adjust the time range for analysis.

Batches Page:

This page showcases the statuses and progress of batches within the selected section. By selecting a production order, batches are categorized into "in progress," "finished," and "new" batches. Filtering options by color and size are also available. Clicking on a specific batch navigates the user to the batch history page, which displays the progress of all processes for that style and indicates whether each process has been completed.

Batch Groups Page:

Similar to the Batches Page, this page provides information on batch groups. Clicking on a batch group redirects the user to the batch group history page, which shows the detailed history of that batch group.

Supervisor Dashboard:

The Supervisor Dashboard offers an overview of key information about the section. It begins with performance metrics, including the number of produced pieces (completed processes) within the section for the current day, section efficiency, the count of productive operators, in-feeding and WIP numbers.

Clicking on these metrics reveals further details for each order. The dashboard also displays alerts, such as identifying at least three productive employees and their efficiencies, unutilized employees within the section who have not performed any production, idle operators requesting idle time. The supervisor can accept or reject idle requests and provide a reason for any rejected requests. The dashboard also highlights any machines that are currently down and their respective durations. Additionally, it identifies operators exceeding quality thresholds.

Employees Idle Times Page

Furthermore, the side menu provides access to the "Employees Idle Times" page, which is recommended for viewing on a PC rather than a mobile device. This page provides information on the number of employees currently stopped and unutilized employees who have checked in through fingerprint or logged into GARMENT IO devices but have not requested any idle time. Each request is displayed with details such as the employee's name, production section, request creation and end timestamps, stoppage time, net idle time, status (open, pending, rejected), and reasons for the request. Clicking on the view icon next to a request opens a prompt to display details about the request.

In the Idle Requests page, the following enhancements have been made:

  • Added a link to view open idle requests, sorted from oldest to newest.
  • After accepting or rejecting an idle time request for an employee, the system automatically moves to the next open idle request, enabling quick decision-making.
  • Once all idle time requests have been resolved, a message indicates that all open idle requests have been resolved, and a "Confirm" button is displayed to return to the idle requests list.

Bulk Actions for Idle Requests:

  • Accept and End Selected: This button is clickable only when a selection consists of a combination of Approved, Rejected, Open, and Pending requests. If the user selects this action, a confirmation prompt appears: "Are you sure you want to accept the selected idle requests? Confirm/Cancel." If the user cancels, they are redirected to the Requests page. If they confirm, a reason must be provided.
  • Reject Selected: This button is clickable only when a selection consists of a combination of Approved, Rejected, Open, and Pending requests. If the user selects this action, a confirmation prompt appears: "Are you sure you want to reject the selected idle requests? Confirm/Cancel." The user can cancel or confirm the action. This action overwrites any previously selected actions and removes any previously added reasons.
  • Add Reason Only: This button is clickable only when the selection consists of a combination of Approved, Open, and Pending requests. The user is prompted to enter a reason for the idle request. A confirmation message appears "Are you sure you want to change the reason without altering the request status? Confirm/Cancel." This action overwrites any previously added reasons. This indicates that the reason will be edited without changing the request state:
  • Additionally, the Unutilized Employees table displays the following information:
    • Employee Name
    • Last worked section
    • Number of unutilized hours
    • Cost: Direct and indirect costs.

In the "Unutilized Employees" section of the Idle Requests page, the following modifications have been made:

  • Added the ability to provide a reason for an employee appearing in the Unutilized Employees list.
  • Calculated the net unutilized hours as the duration from the employee's attendance start time on the same day until the current time, excluding break times.
