This guide is structured to help users understand the key concepts and steps needed to add a plan to certain batches on specific sections into our system accurately and effectively. By the end of this guide, you'll have a clear understanding of the kanban and how to add a plan to certain batches on specific sections
Step 1: Permission Control
To be able to use this new update on the system, you have to make sure that you are granted the new permission created for planning batches on specific sections, by following those steps:
- Go to Garment IO system
- Go to Configuration
- Then click on System Configuration
- Then Navigate to Roles
- Check who exactly you want to grant the permission to from the "Company Roles", then click on the edit button
- it will open the permissions page for that Role, Go to the "Special Permissions" and check the "plan batches on sections" Permission. This will grant that role the permission to add a plan to certain batches on specific sections
Step 2: Plan Order
Before adding a plan to certain batches on specific sections, you have to make sure that the production order is planned and have sections assigned to it. You can do that by following those steps:
- Go to the production Department
- Open Production orders
- Then right click on any order you wish to make sure that it's planned
- Then click on the "Production order plan"
- This will open the plan of this production order. this will help you to check of the order is planned or not. if it's not fully planned, then you have to finish it's plan and assigning sections to it, so you can start planning the batches inside it.
Step 3: Add a plan to certain batches on specific sections
After granting the users the new permission, and after making sure that the plan of the Production order is complete, now you can add a plan for certain batches on specific sections. You can do that by following those steps:
- Go to the Production department
- Open the production orders page
- Navigate to the production order you wish to plan the batches inside it and right click on it and click on the "Batches" option. This will open the batches page.

- Note: You will find at the top of the page the total number of pieces in the batch, and the total number of planned pieces in those batches. The total number of planned pieces in the batches, means that there are batches that were already planned. If you click on the total number of batches it will open a table with the details of the production order, the numbers that appear in green means that they are already planned, the numbers that appear in red means that they haven't planned yet

- You can use the filter in the table if you wish to add a plan for the batches inside each cutting order separately, or select the batches you wish to add the plan to it
- Then click on "Choose an action", then choose "Plan on sections" This will open a window with a table that allows you to plan the selected batches
- Then choose the specific sections/section, you want the batch to be working on.

- Note: You will notice that at the top of the window it has the number of pieces in the chosen batches. This to help you know the number of pieces to be planned on the chosen sections.
- Then you start entering the start date of this plan

- Note: the start date cannot be out of the shift time that was already added to the production order plan, nor can you add a start date for it in the weekends or holidays
- entering the quantity you wish to be working on what sections then you click save
- You will notice that there is an icon next to the cutting order number, The grey icon means that this order is not planned yet, the Green icon means that this cutting order/batch is planned.

Note: If you already added a plan to certain batches and you wish to edit on it, you can do that by following the same steps. However, editing an already existing plan will delete the previous plan and will only save the new plan you added to it.

Note: If you wish to edit a plan for a certain selected batches, you will follow the same steps above. However, when the plan window opens you would find that there are dates that are in grey, which means that those dates are already reserved for a plan, This just to show you the dates and sections that are already reserved so you would be able to decide whether you would still add a plan to it or not so you won't overload the selected sections on those reserved dates
