This guide is structured to help users understand the key concepts of the new feature which is Kanban Dashboard. By the end of this guide, you'll have a clear understanding of the Kanban and how to use it effectively.
Step 1: Permission Control
To be able to use this new update on the system, you have to make sure that you are granted the new permission created for viewing Kanban dashboard, by following those steps:
- Go to Garment IO system
- Go to Configuration
- Then click on System Configuration
- Then Navigate to Roles
- Check who exactly you want to grant the permission to from the "Company Roles", then click on the edit button
- it will open the permissions page for that Role, Go to the "Reports" and check the "Kanban Dashboard" Permission. This will grant that role the permission to add a plan to certain batches on specific sections
Step 2: How to open the Kanban Dashboard.
- Go to Garment IO system
- Go to the production department
- Then go to the Production reports
- Then navigate to the Kanban Dashboard
When you open the Kanban dashboard, you can set the date to any day you want. The Kanban Dashboard would show you the plan for todays date with 4 days in advance only.

Note: you can't select an old date, and if a batch was planned to start on day x and it hasn't started then it's plan is going to get shifted for the next day.
Also, you can select which sections you want to view the plan for. Moreover, you can use the filter feature that is added too to make it easier to show the wanted details. You can filter using the following:
- Status
- Color
- Size
- Cutting Orders
- Style
Batches/Kanban Statuses:
The Kanban Dashboard would show the status of the planned batches/Kanban with the following Color Codes:
- Not Ready: This status has the Red color, which means that the batches/Kanban that haven't completed prerequisite processes.
- Ready: This status has the Blue color, which means that this Batch/Kanban are prepped (finished dependent processes) but haven't started processes in the selected sections.
- In Line: This Status has the Yellow color, which means that the Batches/Kanban are currently undergoing at least one process in the section.
- Done: This status has the Green color, which means that the Batches/Kanban have completed all processes in the section.

If you Click on any of the batches/Kanban you would be redirected to the batch/Kanban history page to give you more details on the batch/Kanban itself. Also, it would navigate you directly to the processes table to show you the uncompleted processes.
