Adding cutting orders

Adding cutting orders

Info
Cutting orders play a crucial role in garment production, as different orders require different and maybe multiple cutting orders. The Garment IO system allows you to add and manage colors efficiently. This chapter explains the process of adding a cutting order and their associated codes.

How to Add a cutting order:

  1. Go to the Cutting Orders page (Cutting Management > Cutting Orders).
  2. To add a cutting order, click on the "+" (Add) button.
  3. Select the production order for which you want to create a cutting order (if adding a cutting order through Cutting Management and not a specific production order).
  4. Choose the marker to be used for the cutting order.
  5. Select the fabrics to be used (fabrics with the same customer, color, and fabric type will be displayed, but you can show all colors and fabric types by clicking the "Show All Colors" / "Show All Fabric Types" buttons).
  6. You can add fabrics by clicking the "[>]" button or add all fabrics in the fabric list by clicking the "[>>]" button (to remove selected fabrics, use the "[<]" or "[<<]" buttons).
  7. After selecting the desired fabrics, specify the color of each fabric (to calculate the output pieces for the selected color).
  8. Then, choose the number of layers for each fabric (you can add one additional layer beyond the maximum number of layers allowed).
  9. You cannot add an odd number of layers if the marker is "Double" and there is an odd number of pieces in the marker, as a complete number of pieces must be cut.
  10. Click "Confirm" to add the cutting order or "Confirm and Add Packs" to add the cutting order and automatically create packs according to the selected assembly rules.

Open Cutting order from Production orders page

There is also another way were you can open the cutting orders, you can do that simply from the production orders page. All you have to do is follow the next steps:
  1. Go to the production department
  2. Then go to the production orders page
  3. Then go to the production order which you want to add a cutting order to.
  4. Then right click on it to open a side menu where you can choose "Cutting Order" from.
  5. Upon clicking on the "Cutting order" it will open the cutting orders page, where you can add a cutting order from or edit an existing one.
  6. You can add a cutting order by following the same steps as mentioned before in the " How to add a cutting order"

The Calculation that are made once a cutting order is added.

  • Fabric Length (if the fabric is entered by weight): (Fabric Weight * 1000/ ((Square Meter Weight) * (Fabric Width / 100))
  • Maximum number of layers for each fabric: Fabric Length / (Marker Length + Allowance in meters)
  • Used Balance (Length): Number of used layers x (Marker Length + Allowance in meters)
  • Estimated number of pieces to be cut for each color and size: Number of layers for all fabrics of each color x Number of pieces in the marker for each size
    • If the marker is "Double," the pieces are divided by 2.
    • If the fabric is "Closed," the number of pieces is multiplied by 2.
  • The user can check the estimated number of pieces to be cut for each color and size by clicking on the "Estimated Cutting Quantity" field. A table will appear showing the estimated number of pieces to be cut for each color and size, with the cutting order displayed in green.

On the Cutting Orders page, you will find the following data:

  1. Status of cutting orders for production stages (can be filtered to show only desired statuses).
  2. New: All pieces in the cutting order have not been produced in any stage.
  3.  Assembly Started: At least one pack of pieces has been created from the cutting order.
  4. Production Started: At least one production operation has been performed for the cutting order.
  5. Finished: All pieces in the cutting order have been produced in all stages of the production order.
  6. Inspected: All pieces in the cutting order have been inspected at the final quality station.
  7. Cutting Order numbers and their associated production orders.
  8. Model name and customer associated with each cutting order.
  9. Creation time for each cutting order.
  10. Quantity of cutting and total pieces in packs for each cutting order.
  11. Completion ratio for each cutting order (percentage of completed stages for the cutting pieces).

On the Cutting Orders page, right-clicking on any cutting order allows you to perform the following actions:
