In order to effectively manage production processes and quality control inspections, it is important to add stations to the Garment IO system. This chapter will guide you through the process of adding stations and configuring their settings within the system.
Accessing Stations Manager:
To add stations, follow these steps:
Go to Production Configuration > Stations Manager.
On the Stations Manager page, click on the "+" button to add a new station.
Adding a Station:
When adding a station, you need to provide specific information. Follow these instructions:
Enter the name of the station.
Select the section(s) where the station will be located. If the station is a quality station, select the sections that this station will inspect processes from.
In the "Units" field, choose whether the station is a quality station or a control station.
Control Station: If the station is a control station, leave the field blank, and the system will store the station as a control station by default. A control station provides details about the batch, such as the order it belongs to, color, size, and any missing processes in the assigned sections.
Quality Station: If the station is a quality station, select "Quality" in the "Units" field. A quality station allows the quality supervisor to perform quality inspections and detect defects and reworked pieces in the batch.
Configuring Quality Stations:
Quality stations have additional configuration options to define their behavior and functionality. Here are some features related to quality stations:
Placement Options:
In-between Selected Scope: This option places the station between processes and checks for defects in the stack without closing other ongoing processes. It allows immediate batch inspection after specific operations. Note that it does not notify the inspector of missing operations or prompt them to add those missing operations.
After Selected Scope: This option checks batches after completing all operations within the specified sections. If there are missing operations in the batches, the inspector needs to add them manually.
After Finishing All Processes: This option represents the final quality station that checks batches that have completed all required operations. If there are any missing operations, the inspector is prompted to add them manually. Additionally, this station changes the status of packages from "Finished" to "Inspected," and the productivity is reflected in the productivity of sorting stations.
Splitting Batches:
Splitting batches is a useful feature when reworked or defective pieces are found. Instead of returning the entire batch, you can split the batches and only return the defected pieces. This helps streamline the production process and avoid unnecessary rework.
Assigning Tags:
Quality or control stations can assign tags to batch groups that may need to be split into batches later in production. This feature allows you to assign RFID tags to batches at the station, and the system will store the new RFID tags for each batch.
User Access:
Users allowed to access the station can be configured by clicking on the users icon and adding the desired users. This helps control access and restricts station usage to authorized personnel.
