Understanding Garment IO Device

Understanding Garment IO Device

💡 Welcome to the Garment IO Device User Guide, your guide to achieving maximum productivity and efficiency in your factory. This innovative device is designed to facilitate communication and empower workers within your factory. Let’s explore its features and functions.

Getting Started

Setting Up the Device
  1. Plug the device into an electrical outlet at your workstation for seamless operation.
  2. For optimal coverage, it is recommended to have one device per workstation.
  3. Ensure that the device is connected to the factory's Wi-Fi network to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
How to ensure that the device has a Wi-Fi network
  1. First of all turn off the Garment IO device using the on and off button
  2. Then you will notice that the Led for the "On" is turned on.
  3. you check the connectivity of the internet using the LED colors and the Network sign on the screen
    1. using the LED color:
      1. if the Color is Red then this means that the device has no internet connectivity
      2. If the Color is green: then this means that the device is connected to the internet
      3. The blue color is only on every 1:30 mins just yo check if the device is still connected to the internet or not
    2. Using the network sign on the screen
      1. If the network sign shows three lines with ">" with this sign next to it, then this means that the network is working
      2. If the network sign has no ">" next to it then this means that the device is connected to the internet but the internet is not working
      3. If the network sign is crossed by a line "/" then this means that the device is not connected to any internet network.
Industrial Design
  1. The Garment IO device is designed to withstand harsh production environments.
  2. Its small size makes it suitable for use, as it can easily fit in the palm of your hand.
  3. Optional mounts are available to secure the device at workstations and protect it from potential hazards.

Benefits and Functions

Real-Time Operation Recording
  1. Record production operations on packages/pieces in real time for accurate documentation.
  2. Ensure that every step in the process is recorded for comprehensive tracking.
Easy Login and Logout
  1. You can easily log in and out of the device.
  2. Simply scan your RFID card on the device to initiate the process.
  3. A confirmation message and audio notification will indicate the success of your login or logout.
Production Information Display
  1. Check the completed/target pieces at the top left of the device for quick reference.
  2. The device number is displayed at the top right of the device.
  3. The worker's name, model name, and stage name are shown on the screen.

Worker Actions

Logging in and out of the machine
  1. The worker can log in to the device using his RFID Card. when the employee scans the card he will notice that the LED of the "operator" is turned on and it's yellow meaning that there is an employee logged into the device. Doing this action will show on the Garment IO device, the name, code of the employee, his daily target, his assigned processes.
Note: if the led of the "operator" is turned off (doesn't show the yellow color) then it means that there is no employee logged into the device right now.

  1. If there are processes assigned to the machine the employee is working on then after he logs in he will notice that the LED of the " Processes" is turned on and it has the Red color.
Note: if the LED of the "processes is turned off (doesn't show the red color) this means that there are no processes assigned to this machine.

Record Production:
  1. Record completed packages by scanning the RFID card of the packages on the device. Once the worked scans the production Card he will notice that the LED light for the "on" is flickering and does a unique sound confirming the success of the production. Also it would show on the device screen that the process is successfully recorded on the system.
Note: if the worker scanned the production card and the production is rejected then he will notice the Led light of the "on" is flickering too but it has a different sound just to signify that this production record is rejected "unsuccessful". Also it would show on the screen the reason why it's rejected or unsuccessful. one of the reasons could be that this process has been done before.
  1. If the device has more than one process assigned to it, then when the worker can record the production of all the assigned processes using one single scan of his production card.
  2. When the worker scans his production cards and it's successfully recorded he can notice the number of produced pieces done by him on the top right side of the device next to it his daily target. this to help him navigate his performance during the day.
Ask For Idle time:
  1. If there are issues facing the employee not related to the machine he's working on; for example: he doesn't have any pieces to work on due to a delay in the processes before him. then the worker can request an IDLE time using his device so this time would be deducted from his available time so it won't affect his efficiency.
  2. he can ask for Idle by pressing on the square button on the device.
  3. He then can use the up and down arrows to choose if he wants to ask for idle or maintenance.
  4. Once he goes to the idle time option he can use the square button to choose it.
  5. Once he chooses that he wants to request idle time, a confirmation message would appear on the screen.
  6. Again he can use the up and down arrows to choose between " yes" or " no"
    1. If he went on the " yes" option and clicks on the square button to choose it. a list of reasons would appear on the screen. where the employee can choose the reason behind his idle time request. and confirms it by clicking on the square button
    2. If the worker chose the " No" option, then the worker would be redirected to the main screen of the device.
Ask for Maintenance
  1. If there are issues facing the employee that is related to the machine he's working on; for example: the machine stopped working suddenly. then the worker can request a maintenance time using his device so this time would be deducted from his available time so it won't affect his efficiency.
  2. he can ask for maintenance by pressing on the square button on the device.
  3. He then can use the up and down arrows to choose if he wants to ask for idle or maintenance.
  4. Once he goes to the "Maintenance" time option he can use the square button to choose it.
  5. Once he chooses that he wants to request maintenance time, a confirmation message would appear on the screen.
  6. Again he can use the up and down arrows to choose between " yes" or " no"
    1. If he went on the " yes" option and clicks on the square button to choose it. then a notification would be sent to the maintenance supervisor that his device is requesting maintenance
    2. If the worker chose the " No" option, then the worker would be redirected to the main screen of the device.
Maintenance Inspection
  1. Maintenance supervisors can inspect machines that have stopped working by scanning their RFID card on the device installed on the machine.
  2.  An audio notification and message will indicate that the inspection can begin.
Achieving Daily Goals
  1. Upon reaching your daily goal, an audio notification will congratulate you.
  2. Celebrate your achievements and stay motivated throughout the day.
