Types of Beats

Types of Beats

Info
This guide provides detailed information on the four types of processes in our system: Machine, Offline, Web, and Automated processes. Understanding these different processes will ensure the most effective use of the system.

Machine Processes/Beats

Machine processes are tasks performed by a worker on a machine using the Garment IO device while connected to the internet. These processes are denoted in the system with a green color.

Offline Processes/Beats

Offline processes, highlighted in grey, are tasks performed on a machine using the Garment IO device. However, these tasks are completed when the device is not connected to the internet. The Garment IO device stores the data until the machine reconnects to the internet, at which point the data is synchronized.

Web Processes/Beats

Web processes are tasks added manually by system users. These tasks can be added from two different areas: the Control and Quality station by quality supervisors, or the Batches History page by line supervisors. These processes are highlighted in black.

Automated Processes/Beats

Automated processes, highlighted in blue, are those recommended by the system when the factory has enabled automated recommendations. These tasks are suggested when the system identifies that workers have missed certain processes, depending on the style processes’ dependencies.

Process Override Functionality

If the system receives machine or offline processes that were previously recorded as web or automated processes, the system will replace these automated and web processes with the new offline and machine processes. This is done to ensure the most accurate data is stored, as these processes are not based on user or system recommendations.

However, this override functionality only occurs if the factory has enabled the override feature. If this feature is not enabled, incoming machine and offline processes that have already been recorded will be rejected to prevent duplication.

Live Feed Report

The Live Feed Report allows users to monitor new, rejected, and removed processes. This report can be filtered by a specified period, sections, employee, style, or order, allowing for targeted tracking and management of all processes.

Reasons for Rejecting a Beat

A beat may be rejected for several reasons, including:

  • Duplicate Process Execution: The batch and this production process have already been completed previously.
  • Unmet Process Dependencies: If preceding processes have not been completed, the current process must be rejected to maintain the correct workflow sequence.
  • No Assigned Production Process: The machine does not have any production process assigned to it.
  • Order Mismatch: A different order has been assigned to the machine than the one associated with the scanned batch.
  • No Logged-in Employee: No employee is currently logged into the machine.

These conditions ensure proper process execution, workflow integrity, and accurate production tracking.

Alert
Please familiarize yourself with these processes and functionalities to effectively utilize the Garment IO System. Should you encounter any issues or have further questions, please refer to our FAQ or contact our support team.
