Standard Process Times Analysis Report

Standard Process Times Analysis Report

This document is designed to guide users through accessing and utilizing the Standard Process Times Analysis Report. This tool is crucial for comparing estimated process times with actual process times, providing insights that help in optimizing production strategies.

Accessing the Standard Process Times Analysis Report

Follow these steps to access the report:
  1. Start by accessing the Industrial Engineering module within your system.
  2. Locate and select the "Style Categories" within the Industrial Engineering module.
  3. Click on the table icon for the desired style category. This action will open a table specific to that category.

Understanding the Displayed Information

The table that opens contains detailed information which is critical for analyzing standard process times:
  1. Process Information: Displays the name and details of the specific processes associated with the selected style category.
  2. Estimated Time: Shows the pre-determined estimated time for each process, serving as the benchmark for performance evaluation. it is the average of different machine type.
  3. Average Actual Time: Represents the average time actually taken to complete the process on the production floor.
  4. Time on Slowest and Fastest Days: time on slowest day, it by taking the maximum average actual time of all days. On the fastest day, it is the minimum average actual time. Do not compare these numbers by production beats/processes because they will not be the same, because they are averages of fastest and lowest days and not the fastest or slowest pieces.
  5. Total Pieces Produced: Indicates the total output for each process, providing a quantitative measure of productivity.

Accessing Worker-Level Data:

  1. Click on the dropdown list next to the process name to expand additional details.
  2. View data segmented by individual workers, including all the metrics mentioned above but at a worker level.

Customizing the Time Display

Users can adjust the display settings to show time in minutes and seconds, targets per hour, or just in minutes.

Tips for Effective Use

  1. Regularly Update Time Frames: Adjust the time frame for analysis frequently to keep your data relevant and timely.
  2. Compare and Contrast: Use the data to compare different workers and processes. Identify trends and outliers that can inform process improvements.
  3. Utilize Learning Curve Data: Pay attention to the slowest and fastest day metrics to understand how efficiency improves over time and to plan training schedules effectively.

Conclusion

The Standard Process Times Analysis Report is a powerful tool for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of your production processes. By following this guide, you will be able to access, understand, and utilize the data to make informed decisions that drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
