Perform station quality inspection

Welcome to the comprehensive guide for conducting quality station inspections using our system. This manual will assist you through each step of the inspection process, ensuring that you effectively scan batches, identify defects, and perform root cause analysis connected to employees and processes.
Getting Started
Authorization Check
Before you begin the inspection process, it's essential to verify that you are authorized to perform inspections:
- Contact your system administrator to confirm your permissions.
- Upon confirmation, proceed to the quality inspection module.
Navigating to the Inspection Page
For Multiple Stations Access
- Go to the
Quality
module in the system. - Navigate to the
Stations
page.
- A list of stations will be displayed if you have access to more than one.
- Select the station you wish to inspect by clicking on it.
For Single Station Access
- If you are only permitted to access one station, clicking on the
Stations
page will redirect you automatically to the scanning page for that particular station.
Scanning Page Overview
On the scanning page, you will find several pieces of information:
- Station Name: The name of the station you are inspecting.
- Associated Sections: Sections linked to the particular station.
- Current Supervisor: The name of the supervisor in charge.
Inspection Tiles
There are four main tiles on the scanning page:
Ready for Inspection Pieces:
- Shows the total number of pieces that have completed all mandatory processes and are awaiting inspection.
- Click on this tile for detailed information about each order and the pieces ready for inspection.
Pieces Awaiting Repair:
- Displays pieces that have been sent for repair and are yet to return to the station.
- Click to view details about batches awaiting repair and take action if necessary.
Station's Inspected Pieces:
- Indicates the total number of pieces inspected at this station on the current day.
User Inspected Pieces:
- Shows the number of pieces you have inspected to track individual contributions.
- Clicking here navigates you to the quality station supervisor report for today's performance.
Additional Reports:
RFID Integration
- The station is equipped with an RFID tag reader for easy batch scanning.
- If an RFID reader is not available, manually input the tag numbers into the system to proceed to the inspection page.
Inspection Page Details
Batch Information
The inspection page displays detailed information about the batch:
- Order Number
- Style Name
- Quantity
- Color and Size
- Previous Inspection Data
Identifying Pieces needing repair
- Click on "
+"
next to the repair section to identify defects. - Select the associated defects, and if needed, link them to the responsible employee or process.
Identifying Defects
- Click on "
+"
next to any quality level section to identify defects. - Select the associated defects, and if needed, link them to the responsible employee or process.
Completing the Inspection
- Add any grade levels and associated defects, processes, and employees.
- If no repairs are needed, select
Finish Inspection
. - For in-repair pieces, you can either send them back for repair or split the batch.
Splitting Batches
- Make sure that the station has the permission to split batches. Note: if the station doesn't have the permission to split the batch, you will not be able to split the batch.
- Click
Split Batches
to separate defective pieces from the rest.
- Assign a new RFID tag to the new batch and update the printed tag information manually.
Splitting batches is an important feature that we developed just for you! Splitting batches helps you split any batch into 2 or more batches so you be able to finish and close the batches that were inspected so it won't render the production performance. If there is a second grade pieces or pieces that needs repair, it is recommended to split them from the original batch to be able to differentiate it and also to be able to close the inspected and finished batch.
Post-Repair Inspection
- Use the tick icon to mark all pieces as repaired or select specific repairs if needed.
- If pieces are marked as second grade after repair, use the cancel icon to decide whether to send them back for further repair or classify them as another quality grade.

Note: After Finishing the repair process, the Quality inspector has to re-inspect the batch just to make sure that it's repaired.
