Adding Machine Downtime Reasons allows users to track and analyze the reasons behind machine downtime. This functionality is similar to adding defects, but specifically focuses on capturing and categorizing the causes of machine downtime. Here's how the process works:
Accessing the Downtime Reasons Page:
  • Users can navigate to the Downtime Reasons page within the system from configurations> production configuration >downtime reasons. This page is specifically designed to manage and add downtime reasons for machines.


Adding Downtime Reasons:

  • On the Downtime Reasons page, users can add new machine downtime reasons by clicking the "+" button. This allows them to specify the specific cause of machine downtime.

Defining Downtime Reason Details:

  • When adding a new downtime reason, users are prompted to provide relevant details such as the name or description of the downtime reason. This information should accurately represent the cause or category of machine downtime being captured.

Saving and Managing Downtime Reasons:

  • Once the downtime reason details are provided, users can save the entry and it becomes available for selection when recording machine downtime events in the system. The Downtime Reasons page also allows users to edit or delete existing downtime reasons as needed.

Sorting Downtime reasons

  • When users select a downtime reason from the available options, the order in which the reasons are presented is important for ease of use and consistency. The system ensures that the machine downtime reasons are sorted in the same order they appear to the user when they try to select a reason.
