Idle Time Reasons Management

Idle Time Reasons Management

Idle time refers to the period when a worker is not operating a machine but is not due to machine breakdown. It can occur due to feeding issues or when the worker is waiting to find work to perform. In such cases, workers request idle time and supervisors need to accept or reject the request while providing a reason for the idle time. This chapter will guide you through the process of adding idle time reasons and configuring their settings within the Garment IO system.

Accessing Idle Time Reasons:

To add idle time reasons, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Production Configuration > Idle Time Reasons.
  2. On the Idle Time Reasons page, click on the "+" button to add a new idle time reason.

Adding an Idle Time Reason:

When adding an idle time reason, you need to provide specific information. Follow these instructions:

  1. Enter the code and name of the idle time reason.
  2. Specify who is the main responsible party for the idle time reason. You can choose from options such as supervisor, operator, or others.
  3. Optionally, you can set one of the idle time reasons as the default reason. This default reason will be automatically assigned if the supervisor does not provide a reason for the idle time request.

By defining and adding idle time reasons within the system, you enable supervisors to easily select from a predefined list when accepting or rejecting idle time requests. This helps maintain a record of idle time and provides insights into the reasons behind non-operational periods.
