The Work in Progress (WIP) Report provides insights into the status of workpieces at different levels within the manufacturing process. It offers three distinct scopes: Factory Scope, Production Line Scope, and Production Section Scope, each providing detailed information relevant to its specific area.
Access the report:
click on the "production department" from the side menu
Then click on "production reports"
Then click on "work in progress report"
Factory Scope: This scope encompasses the entire factory, providing an overview of workpieces across all production lines and sections.
Production Line Scope: This scope focuses on a specific production line, allowing for a detailed analysis of workpieces within that line.
Production Section Scope: This scope narrows down the focus to a specific production section, providing insights into the progress of workpieces within that section.
By exploring these different scopes, users can gain a comprehensive understanding of the work in progress throughout the factory, a specific production line, or a particular production section. This enables better monitoring, analysis, and decision-making to optimize production efficiency and drive overall productivity.
Factory Scope:
WIP Summary Box:
Displays the total number of workpieces that have not entered the production lines yet and the total number of workpieces inside the production lines.
Clicking on the WIP Summary Box reveals the details of the number of workpieces that have not entered the production lines and the number of workpieces inside the production lines for each production order.
Graphical Representation:
Displays the number of workpieces in progress for each production line in the factory, segmented for each production order.
Average production rate per hour for each production line (total number of completed workpieces in this sector / available hours during the factory's core working hours).
Expected average production per hour based on production order planning.
The ability to show or hide any production order by clicking on it in the graph.
Production Line Scope:
WIP Summary Box:
Displays the total number of workpieces that have not entered the production sections yet and the total number of workpieces inside the production sections.
Clicking on the WIP Summary Box reveals the details of the number of workpieces that have not entered the production sections and the number of workpieces inside the production sections for each production order.
Graphical Representation:
Displays the number of workpieces in progress for each production section within the production line.
Average production rate per hour for each section of the production line (total number of completed workpieces in this section / available hours during the factory's core working hours).
Expected average production per hour based on production order planning.
The ability to show or hide any production order by clicking on it in the graph.
Production Section Scope:
Displays all stages currently present in stage groups or production order stages for the selected sector/model category.
WIP Summary Box:
Displays the total number of workpieces that have not entered the stages within the section yet and the total number of workpieces inside the stages. Clicking on the WIP Summary Box reveals the details of the number of workpieces that have not entered the stages yet and the number of workpieces inside the stages for each production order.
Graphical Representation:
Displays the number of workpieces in-feeding for each process. It means the number of pieces ready to start on this process after taking into consideration the dependency tree of processes.
Average production rate per hour for each stage (total number of completed workpieces in this process/ available hours during the factory's core working hours).
Expected average production per hour based on production order planning.
The ability to show or hide any production order by clicking on it in the graph.
Users can navigate between scopes by clicking on the details in the chart. For example, if the user is in the factory scope and clicks on a production line in the chart, the page will transition to the WIP report for the production line scope, focusing on the selected production line.
Clicking on a stage within the production section scope opens a daily production report for that stage. This report displays the productivity of each worker for each production order within the stage, and users can select a different time range.
With the Work in Progress (WIP) Report, users can gain insights into the progress of workpieces at different levels of the production process. This information enables better monitoring, analysis, and decision-making to optimize production efficiency in the factory.
