This feature lets you take direct action on a machine by scanning a QR code assigned to it. Instead of manually searching for a machine within the app, users can scan its code and be taken straight to the relevant action page, whether that is an inline inspection, a process change, or a machine settings update, based on their permissions.

How It Works

Using this feature involves two steps: printing a QR code for each machine, then scanning it on the shop floor to take action.

Step 1: Print QR Codes for Machines

• Go to the Machines page, select one or more machines, and click Print QR Codes.

• You can filter machines by production section to print codes only for a specific area on the shop floor.
• Once printed, attach each QR code to its corresponding machine for easy access.

Step 2: Scan QR and Take Action

• Use a mobile phone or tablet to scan the QR code.
  
• Tap the keyboard icon at the top of the page, choose "Scan QR," and allow the app to use the camera.
• Once scanned, the system takes the user directly to the relevant action page, based on their permissions:
  • An inline inspector is taken straight to the inline inspection screen for that machine.
  • A user authorized to change processes or update machine settings is taken to those specific pages instead.
• Access is fully permission-based — each user only sees and can act on what they are authorized for.
