Hourly Throughput Report

Hourly Throughput Report

The Hourly Throughput Report gives users detailed information about the hourly throughput for each operation and worker, within a selected date and section, helping them analyze daily performance accurately.

Overview

The Hourly Throughput Report gives users detailed information about the hourly throughput for each operation and worker, so they can analyze productivity on a daily basis. The report is designed to provide insights into the performance of workers and processes within a selected date and section. Here are the key features and functionalities of the report.

Selection Options

  • Date Selection: Users can choose the desired date for which they want to generate the report.
  • Section Selection: Users can select the specific sections they want to include in the report. The list only displays sections that have produced units during the selected date; if a section is not listed, it means it did not have any production activity.

Working Shift Selection

  • Users can choose the working shift(s) for which they want to view the hourly throughput. The dropdown list only shows shifts that had production activity. If a shift is not found in the list, it indicates that no units were produced during that shift.

Format Selection

  • Employee/Process: The report can be ordered to display employees first, followed by processes. This format is useful when users want to know the hourly throughput of a specific worker who worked on multiple operations.
  • Process/Employee: The report can be ordered to display processes first, followed by employees. This format is useful when users want to know the hourly throughput of a stage, regardless of the worker involved.

Style Throughput

  • Users can choose whether to include style throughput in the report or not. If enabled, the report will display the style, stage, and process/employee or employee/process. Stage information is crucial since a style can have multiple stages within a section, letting users know which processes are included in each stage.

Expand All

  • Users have the option to expand all the information at once instead of manually expanding each list. This feature provides a comprehensive view of the entire report.

Target Per Hour Calculation

  • The report calculates the target per hour for each standard process. The target per hour represents the number of pieces that can be completed in an hour, assuming the worker solely focuses on that standard process.
  • It is calculated by dividing 3600 seconds (the number of seconds in an hour) by the number of seconds required to complete one item for the standard process.
  • Each batch scan on the device contributes to the numbers in the report. When a worker scans a batch, the quantities of that batch are added to the corresponding hourly block and standard process in the Hourly Throughput Report.

Navigation to Other Reports

  • Users can click on the standard process name in the report to navigate to the Standard Process Throughput Report. This feature allows users to access more detailed information about specific standard processes.

By utilizing the Hourly Throughput Report, users can gain valuable insights into worker performance, process efficiency, and style throughput on a daily basis. This information can aid in identifying areas for improvement, optimizing resource allocation, and making data-driven decisions to enhance productivity in the production process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

  • What's the difference between the "Employee/Process" and "Process/Employee" formats?

The first format groups results by employee first, which is useful for seeing a specific worker's performance across multiple operations. The second groups results by process first, which is useful for seeing a stage's throughput regardless of who worked on it.

  • How is the target per hour for each process calculated?

It's calculated by dividing 3600 seconds by the number of seconds required to complete one item of the standard process, representing the number of pieces a worker could complete in an hour if focused solely on that process.

  • Why doesn't a section or shift show up in the selection lists?

The lists only display sections and shifts that had actual production activity during the selected date. If one is missing, it means no units were produced during it.

  • What's the benefit of enabling style throughput in the report?

It lets you see how throughput breaks down by style and stage, not just by process or employee, which matters when a style has more than one stage within the same section.

  • What happens when I click on a standard process name in the report?

The system takes you to the Standard Process Throughput Report, which provides more detailed information about that specific process's performance.
