The Multi-Style Cutting Module is a feature inside the cutting module that lets cutting specialists add one marker containing multiple styles, combine several production orders inside a single cutting order, and generate bulk batches for a group of orders in one step. This feature is designed to increase the flexibility and efficiency of cutting operations, reduce wasted time, improve material utilization, and bring the system closer to how cutting actually happens on the factory floor.
In many factories, the same style can appear across several production orders. Previously, the user had to add a marker for each production order separately, which was time consuming and led to a lot of repetition. Now, the user can create just one marker per style instead of repeating it for every order, which speeds up data entry significantly and reduces errors.
There is now a new page inside the cutting module called "Markers", which shows a list of style markers by status: New, Bundled, or In-Progress.
To create a new marker, click the Add button, then enter all the required marker details, such as marker length and other information.
Tolerance setting: The type of tolerance you need to enter depends on your factory's settings. If tolerance is set as a percentage, you'll be asked to enter a percentage value. If tolerance is set by length, you'll be asked to enter it in centimeters.
After entering the marker's basic details, click the "+" button to add a new style inside that marker, then choose the sizes and quantities needed within that marker. Once done, click Save.
Note: A marker cannot be edited or deleted once it is already linked to a cutting order.
When creating a new cutting order, you can now select several production orders at once. The system will only show markers that contain styles from those orders, and you can select the marker you need and add Rolls and Layers as required. This makes it possible for a single cutting order to be linked to multiple production orders.
When generating batches in bulk, the system can automatically determine which batch belongs to which production order. If the orders differ in style, color, or size, the system automatically identifies the correct batch.
If the orders share the same style, color, and size, the system cannot tell them apart automatically, and asks the user to assign the batches manually.
You can also select several batches together to speed up the assignment process.
You can choose to restart batch numbering for each production order separately, for better organization and clarity.
Once saved, the user can print the batches for any production order inside the cutting order, and each batch is automatically saved under the correct order to keep the data accurate.
