What’s the Problem?

Currently, the system is limited:

  • One marker = one order only
  • One cutting order = one order only
  • Batch generation works per order

This leads to:

  • Material waste
  • More manual work
  • Limited flexibility in real production

What Are We Improving?

We are enhancing the system to support:

  • Multiple orders in one marker
  • Multiple orders in one cutting order
  • Bulk batch generation across multiple orders

Marker Scenarios (Supported Cases)

The system will support different real-life scenarios:

Case 1: Single Order – Single Style (Current Flow)

  • One marker → one order → one style
  • No changes from current behavior
  • Fully automatic batch generation

Case 2: Multiple Orders – Multiple Styles (Simple)

  • One marker includes multiple orders
  • Each order has a different style
  • No overlapping orders within the same style

👉 Batches are generated automatically without user input


Case 3: Multiple Orders – Same Style

  • One marker includes multiple orders
  • All orders belong to the same style

👉 System cannot auto-distribute
👉 User must assign batches manually


Case 4: Multiple Orders – Multiple Styles (Complex)

  • One marker includes:
    • Multiple orders
    • Multiple styles
    • Some styles have more than one order

👉 Most complex case
👉 User must assign batches manually


Key System Changes

1. Markers Will Be Linked to Styles

  • Markers will be saved by style instead of order
  • Each style will have its own sizes and quantities

2. New “Markers” Page

Users can:

  • View all markers
  • Create markers for multiple styles
  • Define sizes and quantities per style

3. Cutting Orders Support Multiple Orders

  • Users can select multiple orders
  • Orders appear as multiple items (pills)
  • System filters markers based on selected styles

4. Smarter Calculations

  • Calculates cut quantities across all orders
  • Handles sizes, colors, and layers automatically
  • Tracks roll consumption accurately

5. Advanced Batch Generation

  • Case 1 → Same as current
  • Case 2 → Fully automatic
  • Case 3 & 4 → Manual assignment required
